WHO is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.

 WHO seeks to mobilize and strengthen education activities at the local, national, regional and global levels to change the educational, social, economic and political conditions of the people. The WHO Fellowship Programme is a collaboration between WHO member states to share knowledge of health practices and develop health professionals
