Ms. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship

This fellowship is for talented young scholars those who strictly want to pursue an academic career. The status of the candidate will be equivalent to that of a Junior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification-

The scholarship is for those who have specialized in Modern Indian Studies in the fields of History, Economics and/or Political Science.

Must have maintained 60% throughout Post-Graduation.

Must be a PhD holder or must have published works of equivalent merit, which have received outstanding recognition.

Experience- The candidate must have a professional teaching experience of 3 years at Graduate/Post-Graduate level after completion of his/her PhD as on 29.02.2016.

Age- The candidate must be between age 30 and 40 years as on 29.02.2016

Fellowship amount:

Stipend Amount £ 22,063.00
Travel Allowance £ 890.00
College Lunches £ 2,407.00
6 High Table Dinner £ 679.00
Other Administration Charges £ 3,930.85
Total £ 29,944.85

The candidate is also eligible for both round trip air-fares for Economy Class. The spouse of the selected candidate will also be eligible air-fare for Economy Class provided that he/she stays in the UK for a continuous one year. However, the candidate has to bear the expenditure of his/her spouse.
