Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) (Research)

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowships are part of a National Programme of Fellowships in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The fellowships are awarded to exceptionally and highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and career in research. For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test and interview are required.


  • The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowships are given to Indian nationals for studies in India
  • Students who enrolled in the 1st year of B. Sc./B.S./Int. M.Sc./M.S. during the current academic year are eligible for this scholarship
  • Students must have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in Science subjects in the XII standard board examination.

Monetary Support: 5000-7000/ month
