Brief Description:

Ahimsa Fellowship 2023 is an opportunity that aims to create a network of effective animal protection leaders adept at working closely with state governments and district administrations to enforce animal protection laws in India.
This opportunity requires trained professionals who can capably assist the Government in fulfilling its statutory duties through systemic apparatuses like State Animal Welfare Boards, Societies For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Infirmaries, Slaughterhouse Monitoring Committees, Animal Birth Control Monitoring Committees etc. The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend and other benefits.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:
• be an Indian citizen
• be between 22 and 35 years old in age
• hold a graduation degree in any discipline
• have good communication skills (English and a second local language)
• be dedicated to the cause of animal welfare/rights
• be available to commit to the entire 9 month duration of the program

Benefits

The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the fellowship. The stipend is provided to cover the cost of living expenses while Fellows undertake and complete the execution of projects and milestones.
