Wells Mountain Foundation Scholarship 2024

Brief Description:

Wells Mountain Foundation Scholarship 2024 is an opportunity offered by the Wells Mountain Initiative (WMI), a non-profit organisation, for students from developing countries who have enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or diploma course at recognised universities/institutes. The selected candidates will receive a scholarship ranging from USD 300 to USD 3,000 annually till the course duration.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:- 

  • be a citizen of a developing country
  • be 35 years old or younger on 1st March 2024
  • be enrolled in or have been accepted to a bachelor’s degree program at a recognized university or college
  • be pursuing a program of study that will benefit the community and/or contribute to the continued growth and advancement of the home country
  • demonstrate financial need
  • have a strong academic record
  • be committed to leadership and service

 

Note:- Scholars planning to study in the United States, Canada, Australia, UK or Western Europe are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Benefits

WMI scholarships range from USD 300 to USD 3,000 annually and are provided throughout the recipient’s undergraduate education. While the maximum scholarship amount is USD 3,000, this highest level is rarely awarded. The average scholarship award is USD 1,500.

The scholarship can be used for:

  • Tuition and fees
  • Books and materials
  • Room and board

Documents

  • A clear photograph
  • Application form
  • Essay (topic is stated on the application form)
  • Personal essay statement
  • Two recommendation letters
  • Official transcript of grades from secondary school
  • Official grading key to interpret secondary school grades*
  • Official transcript of grades from tertiary studies (if applicable)
  • Official grading key to interpret tertiary grades**
  • Official results from your national exam
  • Official grading key to interpret scores in national exam*

*Note:- Only official grading keys provided by the school issuing the grades, the government issuing the national exam, or other authorised bodies will be accepted. Non-official grading keys will result in the disqualification of the application.

Documents will be accepted in JPG, PNG, GIF, DOC, DOCX, and PDF (version 10 or newer) only.
