The fellowship, overseen by the Pulitzer Center in collaboration with Internews, is designed to help media professionals outside of the United States do the kind of reporting they’ve always wanted to do and enable them to bring their work to a broader international audience. The fellowship will benefit those with limited access to other fellowships and those whose work is not routinely disseminated internationally.
See the announcement of the fellowship at the Internews ceremony in honor of Persephone in October 2010, as well as the work of the 2014 fellow Ana P. Santos, the 2013 fellow, Ameto Akpe, the 2012 fellow, Anna Nemtsova, and the three 2011 fellows.

Specific grant terms are negotiated during the application process based on the scope of proposed work and intended outcomes. Payment of the first half of the grant is disbursed prior to travel, upon receipt of required materials, and the second half on submission of the principal work for publication/broadcast.

Be! Fund is India’s first youth risk capital fund, we invest in young entrepreneurs from low-income communities in India, with sustainable business ideas that solve big problems where young people live. It has to be a young person’s idea. Waste, pollution, transport, energy, water, unemployment – we’ll consider any idea that solves a big problem where a young person age 18-25 lives.
Young people we invest in should be unable to get a bank loan for their idea and their idea has to be their idea + solve a BIG PROBLEM. We’ve invested in 70 young entrepreneurs to date across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Bihar and our new adventure is in Tamil Nadu.

Every single light in our house lit makes it warm and cozy. When we look at all the lights lit in the world from the outer space, they all connect and built a network of light. Same as our mind; a peaceful mind transforms our home into a little kingdom of peace that affects the world around us and has the power to establish world peace at large-starting from a single mind. The tool, discovered over 2600 years ago, is reactivated and has been proofed and spread by our 460 Peace Agents from 101 countries since 2008.
Your training starts with the 42 Days online self-development program on our interactive platform providing you the basic theory and practice; develop the tool for inner peace and learn about the concept of PIPO – INNER PEACE + OUTER PEACE = SUSTAINABLE WORLD PEACE. Through the Online Special OPS you have the means to share true peace to friends, family and school at large. Last but not least since we need to take this light back to our communities, as your understanding of peace grows together with your commitment to the Peace Revolution Project, you will gain the necessary tools for enforcing your PIPO proposal, which will be editable until the last day and will represent the culmination of your process.
The fellowship offers a 14 days intensive training program providing participants with deeper insight in the relationship between inner peace and sustainable world peace and enhancing their ability to create peace within their family, professional and social environment.
In addition to our intense meditation practice, participants will gain knowledge of various theoretical approaches that include:
- Conflict Resolution And The Role Of The Basic Human Self-Disciplines
- The Role Of Our Habits In Our Daily Life And How To Improve; The 5 Rooms Of Life
- The Factors That Determine Our Perception To Think, Act And Speak; Relation Between Body And Mind

- Thai-Buddhist Studies
Presently, the fellowship will take place at Mooktawan Sanctuary in an island at the southern part of Thailand. Participants will enjoy meditating in a serene and peaceful near-forest environment. Well, many people say it′s a celestial hideaway on Earth.

Fellowship For Innovative Project On “Water And Sanitation In Urban Settings”
India, as other South Asian countries, is heading towards freshwater crisis mainly due to improper management and use of water resources and environmental degradation. Depletion and overexploitation of fresh water resources is threatening the very existence of life on earth. There is an urgent need to make society responsible partners in solving the problems related to water – with youth and teachers in young countries of South Asia being an extremely important constituency for this movement.
The stress on human populations and ecosystems from this depleting water situation is further aggravated by a rapidly declining quality – in particular in urban areas. While the challenges on better water management remain huge, the situation on sanitation is much worse. Considering the costs of providing proper sanitation facilities, the state of public finances in most governments and the lack of skill sets available do not allow states to do justice to the sector of sanitation. Further, for protecting valuable drinking water from contamination, one of the key steps is to break the vicious cycle of inadequate water supply and concentrated water pollution through proper collection, treatment and hygienic disposal of sewage. If sewage is eliminated, bacteriological contamination would end and so would water borne diseases, subsequently risk to health may be reduced. Therefore, these two aims- water supply and sanitation- need to be synchronized by planners at policy formulation as well as at operational levels.
These critical issues have been highly debated in various forums and a unanimous understanding among policy makers, designers and implementers was arrived that the need for an inclusive approach towards addressing the problem was required. Thus, in this context, the Coca-Cola Department of Regional Water Studies with the support of USAID is inviting applications for offering scholarships to final year graduate and post graduate students who are interested in showcasing their ingenuity in the field of managing water and sanitation.
