CCP Fellowships

Brief Description:

With the CCP Fellowships, the CrossCulture Program (CCP) annually supports working people and volunteers< /span> in host organizations in Germany or in the CCP partner countries, the participants deepen their specialist knowledge, make new contacts and acquire intercultural skills . The host organizations, in turn, benefit from the specialist knowledge, regional knowledge and networks of the scholarship holders. Participants also have the opportunity to take part in transcultural workshops, networking and specialist events organized by the CCP. Which requirements must be met? 

  • Applicants must be at least 23 years old at the time of application.
  • At least two years of professional experience or volunteer work in a civil society organization in the country of origin should be demonstrated.
  • You have good written and spoken English skills.
  • You are in good health for a longer stay abroad.

  • The applicants have long-term social or social commitments.
  • Main professional experience in the field of activity is available.
  • Cooperation with organizations in the target country exists or is planned.
  • Additional language skills, especially German, are available.

In principle, scholarships are awarded to people who work in one of the following subject areas and fields of work:

  • politics and society
  • Media and culture
  • Human rights and peace
  • Sustainable development and climate justice

In 2024, the following key topic will also be in focus:

  • Circular economy
  • Gender and diversity

Exclusion criterion for the application: Students cannot not take part in the program. A scholarship cannot be awarded if the intended recipient already receives another scholarship.

First and foremost, this is funding to strengthen civil society actors in their work. This includes the following support and offers:

  • Collaboration with a guest organization from the CCP network on site / online
  • Mentoring throughout the entire duration of the scholarship
  • Online/on-site specialist training in the field of activity, which is based on the fellow’s personal and professional goals
  • Networking with other CCP scholarship holders
  • Join the CCP alumni network
  • For scholarship holders of the main topics: Participation in a specialist event

The ifa covers the following costs for Scholarship holders from abroad:

  • Monthly scholarship of 650 euros plus coverage of the costs of return flights, accommodation, monthly ticket for local public transport within the place of residence, health insurance, reimbursement of applicable visa fees

The ifa covers the following costs for Scholarship holders from Germany:

  • monthly scholarship of 1,200 euros, reimbursement of return flights, reimbursement of applicable visa fees, health insurance

It is not intended to take family members such as spouses or children with you. The ifa assumes no costs or responsibility for additional people. The scholarship amount listed above is subject to funding approval from the Federal Foreign Office.
