Brief Description:

JM Sethia Merit Scholarship Scheme 2023 is an opportunity offered by the JM Sethia Charitable Trust (NGO) to students enrolled in Class 9 to 12, graduation, postgraduation, and professional courses. The scheme is introduced to help needy and meritorious students to pursue education at various levels. The selected candidate will receive up to INR 1,000 per month depending on the duration of the course.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must –
• be enrolled for a full-time course in one of the following:
o Class 9-10 (Category A)
o Class 11-12 (Category B)
o Graduation course (Category C)
o Postgraduation course (Category D)
o Professional course (Category P)

Minimum Qualification:

• have passed the following examination with the respective aggregate scores:
o Class 8 or equivalent with a 75% aggregate score (Category A)
o Class 10 or equivalent with a 75% aggregate score (Category B)
o Class 12 or equivalent with a 75% aggregate score in Science & Commerce; 65% in Humanities/Arts (Category C)
o Graduation degree with a 60% aggregate in Science & Commerce; 50% aggregate in Humanities/Arts (Category D)
o Class 12/Graduation degree with a 60% aggregate in Science & Commerce; 50% aggregate in Humanities/Arts (Category P)

Benefits

The students will receive the awards in the following ways –
• Category A – INR 400 per month for two years
• Category B- INR 500 per month for two years
• Category C – INR 600 per month for two or three years as applicable
• Category D – INR 700 per month for two or three years as applicable
• Category P- INR 1,000 per month for two or three years as applicable

• Copy of income proof
• Copy of certificate proving reservation (if any reservation is applicable)
• Copy of marksheet for the last examination passed
