Brief Description:

The government of Punjab has launched the Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme. Through this scheme, students will be encouraged to pursue higher education. The government will provide financial assistance up to Rs 6600 per annum to the students. This financial assistance will be provided to the meritorious students. With the implementation of this scheme, students will be motivated to get good marks. The Chief Minister launched this scheme in the year 2017 in government colleges offering diploma courses in various streams including technology and pharmacy. The students who have acquired 90% or above marks will get a complete waiver in their tuition fees. This scheme will improve the financial condition of the beneficiaries

Objective of Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship 

• The main objective of the Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the student
• So that they will not be required to depend on anyone to pursue higher education
• Under the scheme, 100% of tuition fees will be waived for those students who have acquired at least 90% marks
• Other than that according to the marks acquired by the student, some percentage of the tuition fees will be waived off along with financial assistance
• Students will also become self-dependent

Eligibility Criteria 

• Applicant must be a permanent resident of India
• The student must have secured at least 60% marks in their qualifying examination
• The student should have cleared class 10th/I.T.I/10+2

Benefits of Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme

• The Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme has been launched by the government of Punjab
• Through this scheme tuition fee waiver will be provided to students getting good marks in their qualified examination
• The student will be eligible to get a waiver from 70% to 100% of their tuition fees
• Other than that financial assistance will also be provided to the students
• This financial assistance will be up to Rs 6600 per annum
• Now students will not be required to depend on anyone to pursue higher education
• As the government of Punjab is going to provide them with financial assistance
